Mailing will begin at 10 a.m. from the Supervisor of Elections Office in Fort Lauderdale.

Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott encouraged voters who requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot to sign up for ballot status notifications through BrowardVotes.gov, allowing them to receive updates when their ballot is mailed, received, and counted. The notification system also alerts voters if there is an issue with their ballot.

“Voting by mail is a secure and convenient way to participate in the Primary Election,” Scott said. “I encourage Broward County voters who requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot to track their ballot, sign the return envelope, and return it early so it is received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.”

Vote-by-Mail ballots include prepaid return postage. Election officials are advising voters who choose to return their ballots by mail to allow ample time for delivery. Ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, to be counted.

Completed Vote-by-Mail ballots may also be returned to secure ballot intake stations at Supervisor of Elections offices or designated Early Voting locations during the Early Voting period. On Aug. 17 and Election Day, Aug. 18, ballots will only be accepted at secure ballot intake stations located at Supervisor of Elections offices across Broward County.

The public and members of the media are invited to observe staff loading ballots onto trucks for distribution beginning at 10 a.m. Monday at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 4650 NW 21st Ave., Fort Lauderdale.
