Field events


In the field events, Jamaican athletes excelled with Romaine Beckford and Wayne Pinnock representing Arkansas. Beckford clinched the gold in the high jump with a clearance of 2.22m, followed by LSU's Kuda Chadenga and Ole Miss's Arvesta Troupe.

Pinnock, a silver medalist at the World Championships, defended his SEC title in the long jump with a leap of 8.09m. Micah Larry of Georgia secured second place, while Caleb Foster of Florida took third, both recording distances of 7.80m.
