Facing adversity at 89-5

Facing adversity at 89-5 during lunch, the Scorpions found themselves in a precarious position. However, a remarkable partnership between Brandon King and Abhijai Mansingh propelled the team forward. King's composed 65 and Mansingh's gritty 42 provided the backbone for the Scorpions' chase.

"We knew we had to dig deep and stay focused," stated Abhijai Mansingh. "Every run mattered, and we were determined to see the team through to victory."

With less than 50 runs to go, Derval Green and Jeavor Royal completed the victory shortly before the close of play. Despite the Academy's best efforts, left-arm spinners Joshua Bishop and Ashmead Nedd couldn't prevent the Scorpions from clinching the win.

The Jamaica Scorpions' triumph propels them to third place in the standings, setting a positive tone for future match-ups in the West Indies Championship.
