The Cayman police have confirmed that the body discovered in the dense mangrove wetlands of East End last week is that of a Jamaican man.

The deceased has been identified as Adrian Williamson, who was living in Cayman and had been reported missing since July 6, 2022.

Identification of the body

The remains were found clad in clothing that matched the description of what Williamson was last seen wearing: a black top, jeans over grey Manchester United shorts, and black Jordan slippers.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) has not released the cause of death.

Investigations are ongoing

Reports are that an anthropologist has been brought in by the Health Services Authority (HSA) to closely examine the remains, providing critical assistance to the ongoing investigation.

Forensic samples have also been collected for comprehensive examination and analysis.
