Bahamian police launch probe into death of American tourist on New Providence Island

Bahamian authorities have initiated an investigation into the death of an American tourist on New Providence Island. 

According to Caribbean Loop News, the 29-year-old man, hailing from Carbon Dale, Illinois, was discovered in an unresponsive state near the pool deck of a cruise ship on Wednesday morning.

Reports are that the man was examined and was later pronounced dead by the onboard doctor.

Investigations remain ongoing.
