Bahamas Ministry of Tourism forges  multi-year deal with Dallas Cowboys

In a strategic move to extend its reach into the U.S. Southwest market, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) has forged a multi-year partnership with the renowned Dallas Cowboys.

This alliance aims to capture the attention of avid Dallas Cowboys fans across the United States.

Hon. I. Chester Cooper leads Bahamian delegation in Dallas

On December 30th, The Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation for The Bahamas, joined forces with Ministry of Tourism Director General Latia Duncombe and other key executives.

They convened at the thrilling Dallas Cowboys versus Detroit Lions game, marking the official commencement of this collaborative endeavor. Additionally, the event served as an opportunity to celebrate the induction of Jimmy Johnson into the prestigious Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Bahamian branding takes center stage at AT&T Stadium

As a pivotal component of this multi-year agreement, The Islands of The Bahamas will enjoy prominent branding exposure during home games at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

This will extend to television and radio advertisements, Bahamian-themed promotions, and engaging on-site activities.

Cowboys fans will have the chance to participate in social media sweepstakes, offering enticing prizes such as tickets to home games and unforgettable trips to The Islands of The Bahamas.

Driving Tourism business through a unique partnership

Deputy Prime Minister Cooper expressed his enthusiasm about this newfound collaboration, emphasizing its potential to boost tourism from Middle America to The Bahamas.

”We are excited about this new partnership and look forward to capitalizing on this relationship to drive more tourism business from Middle America to The Bahamas,” said Cooper. “This agreement allows us to combine the love for the Dallas Cowboys with the allure of The Bahamas.”

Cowboys enthusiastically embrace the collaboration

Chad Estis, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Dallas Cowboys, echoed excitement.

“The Dallas Cowboys are excited to partner with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to help encourage tourism at an incredible destination like The Bahamas,” Estis said.

“We know Cowboys fans love great experiences, exciting trips, world class hospitality and making special memories, which are all things that are easy to have in The Bahamas!”

A “win-win” partnership with vast exposure

Latia Duncombe, Director General of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, described the collaboration as a “win-win” situation and underscored the significant exposure that The Islands of The Bahamas will gain within the Dallas Cowboys fanbase.

The partnership will feature multiple sweepstakes and marketing initiatives strategically targeting fans in the Southwest and throughout the United States, with the anticipation of a substantial surge in travel to The Bahamas from this market.

Elevating The Bahamas as a sports destination

The Dallas Cowboys, often referred to as “America’s Team,” hold a staggering valuation of $9 billion, as reported by Forbes.

The Bahamas’ partnership with this sports powerhouse will significantly bolster the nation’s “Sports in Paradise” initiative.

This initiative positions The Bahamas as the ideal destination for sports-related conferences, meetings, and events, further solidifying its reputation on the global stage.
