Antigua and Barbuda and Cambodia forge partnership for mutual prosperity

In a diplomatic development on November 24, Antigua and Barbuda and Cambodia have embarked on a collaborative journey aimed at benefiting their respective populations.

The agreement was reached during a bilateral meeting held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, where the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, SOK Chenda Sophea, engaged in discussions with Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, E. P. Chet Greene.

Strengthening bonds across oceans

Despite the vast geographical distance that separates these two nations, both Foreign Ministers expressed their unwavering commitment to bolstering functional cooperation, all in the pursuit of enhancing the well-being of their citizens.

Exploring collaborative avenues

Agriculture and tourism have emerged as focal points for this budding partnership.

The collaboration in these sectors holds the potential to yield economic and cultural benefits for both nations.

During the discussions, Minister Greene asked Cambodia to consider Antigua and Barbuda as its gateway to the vibrant Caribbean market.
