Almost 1,000 Vincentians to benefit from Tourism and Hospitality job opportunities

Residents in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are set to benefit from an influx of job opportunities in the coming months. 

This was recently announced by Minister of Tourism Carlos James.  

Prominent stakeholders in the Tourism and Hospitality services sector have unveiled plans to recruit nearly 1,000 individuals from the island.

MSC Cruise Lines drops anchor for recruitment

MSC Cruise Lines will be in St Vincent and Grenadines to host a job fair at the Cruise Ship Terminal in October, 

The minister says they are looking to recruit up to 100 skilled workers within the Tourism services sector.  

Sandals’ extensive hiring drive

According to reports, Sandals has charted its own recruitment course, planning a job fair from September 26 to 29. 

The renowned hospitality brand aims to potentially enlist a staggering 800 candidates. 

The Kingstown Baptist Church will serve as the venue for this large-scale hiring event, welcoming prospective employees from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As a note to attendees, individuals are advised to equip themselves with specific documentation: a government-issued photo ID, an NIS card copy, a current resume, and two passport-sized photographs.

Construction opportunities at Sandals

According to Minister James,  Sandals is also poised to bolster its workforce in the construction realm. 

The luxury resort chain aims to onboard nearly 200 construction specialists to ensure the timely completion of the Buccament Bay hotel project by year’s end.
