President Joe Biden tripped and fell on Thursday while handing out diplomas at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado.
After delivering the commencement address, Biden proceeded to shake hands with graduates when he fell near the podium. He was quickly assisted by others.
Reports say that he tripped over a sandbag that was on the stage.
In a tweet, Ben LaBolt, White House communications director said that “He is fine”.
“There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands,” LaBolt wrote.
Last year, Biden stumbled off his bike at the end of a ride at Cape Henlopen State Park and also tripped but collected himself while going up the stairs to board Air Force One.
His age has raised concerns about running for a second term as president. Biden, 80, would be 82 at the start of a second term if he wins.
He is the oldest sitting president in history.
