Residents of South Florida are gearing up for a theatrical treat as it becomes the first in the United States to host the premiere of Oliver Samuels’ new play, “Teet N Tung.”
The premiere weekend kicks off at 8 pm on September 2 at Everglades High School in Miramar. The following day, the final performance will be held at 6 pm at the Coral Spring Center for the Arts in Coral Springs.
The powerhouse cast: A lineup of Jamaican talent
The play boasts an enviable lineup, raising the bar for Jamaican theater.
Alongside Samuels, Jamaican female mega-stars Audrey Reid, known for her epithet “Dancehall Queen,” and Deon Silvera will share the stage.
The trio is completed by Tesfa Edwards, an emerging male talent in Jamaican theater.
