Four of Jamaica’s internationally recognized stand-outs in the areas of advocacy, law, finance, and diplomacy, are to be inducted into the 2024 St. George’s College Hall of Fame at a banquet set for Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the S-Hotel, New Kingston.

They are Christopher Berry, chairman of Mayberry Investments Limited; Michael Hylton, former solicitor general; Professor Trevor Munroe, founding director of National Integrity Action, Jamaica’s chapter of Transparency International and Christopher Chaplin, Jamaica’s honorary consul in Philadelphia and co-chairman of the Philadelphia Organising Committee of Team Jamaica Bickle. They are all past students of St. George’s College.

In making the announcement on the weekend, Donovan Chen See, chairman of the St George’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee, said the four outstanding leaders have done their alma mater proud, both locally and globally.

He said the criteria for selection by the six-member committee included: Community Spirit; Excellence and Achievement in a Particular Field; Inspiring Leadership; National and/or International Recognition; Vision and Innovation and Service to the College.

“We feel proud of those selected for this year’s induction as they have been outstanding examples of the foundation which St George’s College has been laying over the past 174 years for the development of young men,” said Chen See.

The St George’s College Hall of Fame is the highest accolade by which Georgian Old Boys and Faculty may be recognized.

Established in 2000, there are now 56 inductees, portraits of whom are prominently displayed at the St George’s College Hall of Fame Room, in the Archbishop Samuel E. Carter, S.J. Library at the North Street institution.

The Hall of Fame is hosted every two years.
