The Jamaican police on Wednesday detained six individuals, including children on suspicion of illegal entry into the country.
Reports are that the six detainees comprise three adult women and three children from Haiti and Brazil.
Reports are that children are aged four, five, and 11.
Harboring of illegal foreign nationals
It is further reported that authorities discovered five Jamaican men in two separate locations who are suspected of harboring the illegal foreign nationals.
According to reports, all individuals involved were transported to the Morant Bay Police Station for processing.
