Outpouring of grief in Grand Bahama

Upon hearing the news, a wave of mourners convened at the Rand Memorial Hospital in Grand Bahama, forming a testament to the impact Wilchcombe had on many.

A life of service

The Prime Minister’s Office on Monday formally confirmed the news, highlighting Wilchcombe’s commendable roles as Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting, and Leader of Government Business in the House of Assembly. 

A statement released said that Wilchcombe’s dedication to public service has been a beacon, illuminating his significant contributions to the nation.

Condolences extended 

Currently in Grand Bahama, Prime Minister Philip Edward Davis is rendering his respects and extending condolences to the bereaved family. 

On the other hand, Dr. Hubert Minnis, former Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Killarney, communicated his profound condolences to the family and all those touched by Wilchcombe’s life.
