South Florida Gifted and Talented Symposium to be held at Signature Grand

On September 17, 2015, from 8 am to 3:30 pm, at the Signature Grand, the Broward County Public Schools, in partnership with the Broward County Government Cultural Division and Broward Center for the Performing Arts, will host the South Florida Gifted and Talented Symposium: Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead.

The South Florida Gifted and Talented Symposium provides parents and educators with strategies and practices that foster self-directed, motivated and independent students in real-world learning environments.

The symposium includes nationally recognized keynote speakers and 24 targeted workshops, tailored to meet the needs of students in elementary through high school.  The theme of this year’s symposium is centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.).The sessions focus on strategies and practices critical to teaching and parenting of gifted and talented learners.

Doors open at 7 a.m. for registration and networking. Tickets are $45 per person.
