In an emotional Instagram post, Royal shared his journey of recovery, thanking first responders, medical personnel, close friends, and, most importantly, his wife for their support during the traumatic experience.

The crash, which could have ended far worse, left the artist with what he describes as “tears of joy” instead of sorrow. With his life spared, Jesse Royal has used this pivotal moment to reflect on the power of love, resilience, and the unyielding will of the Almighty. In his post, he urged his fans to take time to embrace their loved ones and appreciate life’s fleeting nature.

“Everything can change in the blink of an eye! Go hug somebody now, send messages to those you love, and reconcile with who you think you hate. Take the time out to understand that this thing called life is truly a gift.”

The artist’s journey following the accident has been challenging. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Royal spoke with profound gratitude for the “angels” who surrounded him from the moment the crash happened. He praised the quick actions of the first responders, and the care and tireless efforts of the doctors.

In his heartfelt post, he thanked his close circle of friends and colleagues who rallied around him, sharing a list of names that, to him, define family. Royal’s heartfelt tribute extended to his friends at the University of the West Indies (UWI), his medical team, and his extended reggae family, including artists and collaborators who have been by his side through it all.

As Jesse Royal continues to heal, he has announced that his long-awaited project, NOPLACELIKEHOME, will finally be released tomorrow. According to the artist, the experience of the crash and recovery has fueled his decision to share this deeply personal work with the world.

“I’ve been ‘nursing’ this project for far too long and this has inspired me to drop it now,” he shared on social media, hinting that his new album will serve as both a reflection of his journey and a celebration of life itself. Fans can expect a collection of songs that speak to Royal’s roots, his growth as an artist, and his renewed appreciation for the people who have supported him throughout his life.

In addition to his album release, Jesse Royal is gearing up for a major performance at the upcoming Carifesta XV, where he will take the stage alongside some of reggae’s most iconic names, including Morgan Heritage, Tanya Stephens, Warrior King, and more. The reggae super concert will take place on August 29th at the Richard Stoute Amphitheater in Barbados.
