Dionne Warwick set to enchant Jamaica with a ‘Timeless’ musical experience

On March 29, 2025, music lovers in Jamaica are in for a treat when legendary singer Dionne Warwick headlines a star-studded event at Plantation Cove, St. Ann. Timeless, the much-anticipated concert, promises a magical fusion of jazz, reggae, and R&B, featuring some of the biggest names in music.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Dionne Warwick will take center stage, continuing her six-decade reign as a musical powerhouse. Known for classic hits like Walk on By, I Say a Little Prayer, and That’s What Friends Are For, Warwick is set to perform at 10:50 PM, delivering an 80-minute set filled with timeless songs. With over 75 charted hits and more than 100 million records sold globally, her influence on pop and R&B remains undeniable.

Warwick’s career skyrocketed in 1961 after being discovered by songwriting legends Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Her vast catalog, enriched by collaborations with some of the industry’s greatest musicians, has left an indelible mark on music history. Notably, her philanthropic efforts took center stage in 1985 with the hit That’s What Friends Are For, which raised millions for AIDS research—an initiative she continues to support today.

Adding a touch of elegance to the night is Myrna Hague, Jamaica’s First Lady of Jazz. Known for her smooth voice and captivating performances, Hague has graced prestigious stages worldwide, including the Royal Albert Hall and the Edinburgh Jazz Festival. Her latest project, Simply Myrna, was a hit in Jamaica, further cementing her status as a jazz icon.

Reggae lovers are in for a treat with Duane Stephenson, whose soulful sound has resonated with fans worldwide. A gifted songwriter for artists like Tarrus Riley, Etana, and Jah Cure, Stephenson will perform fan favorites like August Town, Cottage in Negril, and Fool for You, alongside fresh material from his latest album, Weekend Dude.

No show would be complete without the Queen of Reggae, Marcia Griffiths. From her solo career to her iconic role in the I-Threes, Griffiths remains a towering figure in reggae. She will take fans on a musical journey, paying tribute to her love for soul music with a heartfelt rendition of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack, along with a selection of beloved hits from her extensive catalog.

Timeless promises an unforgettable night of entertainment, with iconic songs, soulful performances, and magical moments. The event kicks off at 8 PM, with gates opening at 6 PM. The concert will run for a full four hours, delivering an experience music lovers won’t want to miss.
