The event, curated by music and entertainment marketing agency Tastemaker, offered an intimate, guided look at the brand’s premium museum space—delivering a fusion of culture, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Guests explored interactive exhibits on rum distillation and aging, and enjoyed tastings of Appleton’s Signature Blend and 8-Year-Old Reserve.

Officially opened to the public on May 20, 2025, the museum is described as “an immersive, curated space that captures the essence of Jamaica’s most celebrated rum.”

In a statement issued just before the launch, Dominic Bell, Communications Manager at J. Wray & Nephew Limited, said, “This museum represents far more than just a timeline of our achievements, it’s a dynamic space where visitors can feel, taste, and understand the soul of Appleton Estate.”

He added, “It’s about connecting with Jamaica’s rum legacy and welcoming a new generation into the world of Appleton through an experience that’s both educational and fun.”

The museum features a range of interactive exhibits that take visitors through every stage of rum production—from the meticulous art of distillation to the aging process in oak barrels. Designed to appeal to both seasoned rum lovers and curious newcomers, the space offers what Appleton calls a unique “edutainment” experience: a seamless blend of education and entertainment rooted in Jamaican heritage.

The exclusive pre-opening event gave guests a first-hand taste of that mission, showcasing not only the brand’s technical prowess but also its deep cultural legacy.

With its doors now officially open, the Appleton Estate Rum Museum invites the public to experience the world of Jamaican rum in a whole new light.
