Located in “Restaurant Row” in Midtown Manhattan, the restaurant has become known for its menu, including favorites like jerk chicken and stewed oxtail, complemented by unique signature dishes, cocktails, and desserts. Visitors can also enjoy pan performances on Thursdays and live DJ sets on Saturdays.

The founder’s Caribbean roots

The restaurant was initiated by entrepreneur Jasmine Gerald during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. According to Gerald, “We wanted to bring back community, job security and a safe space to enjoy each other’s company. My deep-rooted passion for Caribbean flavors and a drive to showcase the richness of this cuisine to a wider audience, coupled with this void left by the pandemic, birthed Jasmine’s Caribbean Cuisine.”

With inspiration drawn from her diverse Caribbean roots, Gerald, alongside Chef Basil Jones, has crafted a menu that celebrates the region’s diverse flavors while integrating modern culinary trends.

Jasmine’s Restaurant Group

Adding to its portfolio, Jasmine’s Restaurant Group recently introduced S’Aimer NYC, a sophisticated lounge offering a fusion of French and Caribbean gastronomy located near the main restaurant, further enhancing the group’s presence in Times Square.

“We’re committed to delivering exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that transports our guests to the heart of our culinary heritage. We aim to connect cultures, dispel misconceptions and give back to our communities, both locally and internationally,” Gerald stated.
