Joshua Jacques, a 29-year-old man, has been found guilty of the murders of a Jamaican grandmother and three members of her family in south London on April 25 last year.
Jurors at the Old Bailey on Thursday found him guilty following a three-week trial.
The gruesome killing
According to reports, Jacques fatally stabbed 27-year-old Samantha Drummonds, her mother 45-year-old Tanysha Ofori-Akuffo, as well as her 64-year-old Jamaican-born grandmother Dolet Hill, and her partner 68-year-old Denton Burke, in Bermondsey.
Reports are that Jacques had denied murder but admitted manslaughter.
He was remanded for sentencing on February 9 next year.
Claims of mental health issues
Reports are that during the trial, the jury was told Jacques claimed he was suffering from a mental health condition when he killed the family.
The court heard he attacked the family in the middle of the night, before being tasered by police who broke into the terraced house.
