The City of Sunrise has reopened the application window for the COVID-19 Residential Emergency Assistance Program funded through the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF).
Sunrise officials previously opened this program in October 2020, with a budget of $367,500. At this time, the City has funded this program with an additional estimated budget of $220,500 and will accept applications to provide financial assistance to eligible City of Sunrise residents who have experienced a loss of income as a direct result of COVID-19.
Applications are currently being accepted and will continue as long as funding is available or until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020.
Applicants will be processed on a first-come, first-qualified, first-served basis, contingent upon funding availability. Eligible expenses include unpaid rent, mortgage and utilities due on or after April 1, 2020 through December 30, 2020.
