Jamaica’s Under-20 Reggae Girlz will face Costa Rica in the coming weeks, ahead of the CONCACAF’s Women’s Under-20 Championship next month.
According to Jamaican national assistant coach Xaivier Gilbert, the timing of the friendlies, scheduled to be held in two weeks, is perfect.
The matches will be played on January 3 and 5 at the Goal Project Complex in Costa Rica. The Under-20 Reggae Girlz have been drawn in Group ‘B’ of the final round where they will play USA, Mexico and Nicaragua. The top three teams from the tournament will qualify for the 2018 FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup in France.
