Jamaica to host inaugural trimble day in Caribbean

The Caribbean will witness its first-ever Trimble Day on Thursday, November 16, as part of the region’s observance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Week.

Scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m., Trimble Day will unfold at the Courtyard by Marriott in New Kingston, offering a unique platform for both current users and potential adopters to delve into the latest technological advancements developed by Trimble.

Simone Lloyd, Acting Senior GIS Manager and Trainer at the National Spatial Data Management Branch (NSDMB) shared valuable insights during a recent Jamaica Information Service (JIS) Think Tank session.

 She revealed that this exclusive, registration-only event will feature informative sessions led by Trimble’s experts, who will shed light on their groundbreaking work within the geospatial sector.

A global perspective: A local connection

Highlighting the global reach of Trimble, Ms. Lloyd emphasized that representatives from Trimble would journey to Jamaica specifically to share their insights with the local geospatial sector. 

Attendees from across the Caribbean will also converge in Jamaica for this event to gain an understanding of Trimble’s global and regional impact, with a particular focus on their contributions to Jamaica.
