Jamaica Stock Exchange’s prep/primary game on the move

On Monday, June 30, 2025, students aged 8–12 gathered at the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) headquarters in Kingston for the third awards ceremony of the JSE’s Prep/Primary Stock Market Game. Though schools are currently on summer break, students showed up in large numbers to represent their institutions.

The AI-driven simulation game allows students to trade with US$10,000 in virtual money on a specialized platform developed by Wizdom CRM in partnership with the JSE. The goal is to build financial literacy, confidence, and character from an early age.

Top Performers:

  • 1st Place: Khalif Wright (age 9, The Avondale Preparatory School) – 40% profit, ending with US$14,070.88

  • 2nd Place: Zayden Cunningham (age 9, Excelsior Primary & Infant School) – US$12,802.54

  • 3rd Place: Shenique Hutchinson (age 11, The Avondale Preparatory School) – US$11,746.34

Dr. Marlene Street Forrest, Managing Director of the JSE, commended the dedication of students, teachers, parents, and Wizdom CRM, emphasizing the importance of early financial education for wealth creation. She also thanked the Barita Foundation for its support.

Winning schools received trophies, individual prizes, and three tablets each—funded jointly by the JSE and Wizdom CRM. Principals were also recognized for their leadership and support.
