Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories expands reach to Jamaica

In a significant development for Jamaica’s pharmaceutical landscape, Senator the Hon. Aubyn Hill, Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, extended a warm welcome to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, an Indian multinational company, as it established its presence in the island nation.

Strengthening bilateral cooperation

Addressing stakeholders at the launch event held on Wednesday, April 10, at the Insurance Company of the West Indies (ICWI) corporate offices in New Kingston, Minister Hill emphasized the significance of this collaboration between Jamaica and India. 

He highlighted the entry of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories into Jamaica as a testament to the growing ties and mutual benefits between the two nations.

Recognition of Jamaica’s appeal

Minister Hill expressed his satisfaction with Jamaica’s attractiveness as a business destination, underscoring the nation’s appeal to global enterprises like Dr. Reddy’s Pharmaceuticals. 

He lauded the company’s decision to establish operations in Jamaica, affirming the country’s status as an outstanding location for investment and business growth.

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, headquartered in Hyderabad, India, is renowned as a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry. 

With a focus on affordability and innovation, the company offers a wide range of pharmaceutical interventions to address diverse healthcare needs worldwide.

The multinational corporation boasts a comprehensive portfolio encompassing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), generics, branded generics, biosimilars, and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products.
