New Virrick Park Pool Coming in 2024

The City of Miami is excited about opening its next aquatic facility at Elizabeth Virrick Park in 2024.
The Coconut Grove community has been eagerly awaiting a new family-friendly pool to be built in their neighborhood. Together, the Parks Department and the Office of Capital Improvements proudly worked with the community to design a world-class pool for all ages and abilities.
The Virrick Park Pool will have features like no other. It includes a zero-depth entry that’s fully ADA accessible, a built-in play structure and water slide to cool down during those hot summer days, a shallow pool for learn-to-swim classes, water aerobics, and inexperienced swimmers.
It will also feature a 6-lane lap pool for open swimming, swim teams, swim meets, and teaching lifeguard classes.
The aquatic facility construction includes a new bathhouse, a public art installation, and right-of-way improvements to Hibiscus Street, Day Avenue, & Percival Avenue.
The design fulfills a promise to build a world-class facility the City of Miami made for its residents. It will be a state-of-the-art facility that is safe, accessible and facilitates a healthy and happy quality of life.
