One dead, others injured in St Croix shooting

Reports are that the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) is probing a shooting incident that killed one person and injured others.

Police reports state that the 911 Emergency Center on St. Croix received a shot spotter alert at 4:49 am, reporting 77 shots being fired in Peters Rest, near a sports bar and nightclub.

Preliminary investigations revealed that one person was killed, one victim is on life support and four others were injured.  

VIPD and the Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) are investigating the incident.
