A single car crash has left a woman dead in Oakland Park.
According to the police report at approximately 10:57 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide investigators responded to a traffic crash in the 4200 block of North Federal Highway in Oakland Park.
The preliminary investigation revealed Tyanna J. Boston was driving a 2000 Mazda 626 traveling southbound on North Federal Highway when she lost control of the vehicle.
The Mazda 626 left the roadway, continued across the sidewalk on the west side and proceeded through a parking lot. The Mazda 626 struck a concrete block wall and came to a final rest. Oakland Park Fire Rescue pronounced Boston dead at scene.
According to investigators, there was no evidence that Boston made contact with other vehicles prior to losing control of the Mazda 626.
Independent witnesses described the Mazda 626 approaching them from behind at a high rate of speed as they traveled southbound on North Federal Highway.
The investigation is ongoing.
