Several Events Cancelled/Postponed in Wake of Coronavirus

SOUTH FLORIDA – Several events in the Palm Beach, Miramar, Lauderhill, and surrounding communities in South Florida have been cancelled or rescheduled due to the spread of the coronavirus in the state.

Lauderhill Sports Leagues

In lieu of the COVID-19 and its growing health risks associated with the virus, CASA has decided to suspend ALL Super League, Masters League games and Netball competition at the Lauderhill Sports Park, 7500 W.Oakland Park Road, Lauderhill, Florida, at this time.

Palm Beach Natural Areas Festival and 5k/10k Trail Race

Based on the recommendations of Governor Ron DeSantis, and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our residents and visitors, Palm Beach County has made the decision to cancel the Natural Areas Festival planned for Saturday, March 14, at Winding Waters Natural Area in West Palm Beach. The associated Run for the Natural Areas 5k/10k Trail Race will be postponed until further notice. Runners who have signed up will be notified of the new date once those details are available.

Broward County Water Matters Day Celebration

In an abundance of caution, and acknowledging the expressed concerns and state of uncertainty regarding the Coronavirus COVID-19, Broward County has decided to cancel this Saturday’s 18th Annual Water Matters Day celebration at Tree Tops Park in Davie.
