Mayor of Lauderdale Lakes Hosts 60-Day Health Challenge Step Up Walkathon

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Florida – The City of Lauderdale Lakes invites the community to sign up for the Mayor’s 60-Day Health Challenge Step Up Walkathon event to be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020.  Participants can register by calling the City of Lauderdale Lakes at 954-535-2710.

The Step Up Walkathon will benefit the New Life Scholarship Fund and the City of Lauderdale Lakes’ Teen Center.

The walkathon starts at 8am sharp from the New Life Child and Education Center located at 4440 W Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33313 and will proceed to Florida Medical Center located at 5000 W Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33313.

“This is our third season hosting this walkathon and every year we’ve not only accomplished our fundraising goals, but continued to increase participation,” said City of Lauderdale Lakes Mayor Hazelle Rogers.  “With the help of Broward county residents, we anticipate doubling the event attendance in 2020.”  We are proud to partner with Florida Medical Center, Attorney J. Samantha Vacciana of the Trial Lawyers of Florida and Primary Medical Care Center of Lauderdale Lakes for this exciting community event.

Following the Walkathon, participants are invited to a complimentary breakfast provided by the Florida Medical Center.
