U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended congratulations to Jamaica on the occasion of its 63rd Independence Anniversary, emphasizing the strong and evolving partnership between the two countries.
In a press statement released Wednesday, Rubio highlighted the enduring ties between Jamaica and the United States, rooted in security cooperation and shared economic interests.
“On behalf of the United States, I extend my warm congratulations to the people of Jamaica as they celebrate 63 years of independence,” the statement read.
Rubio commended Jamaica’s efforts to reduce violent crime and boost private-sector growth, noting that these initiatives not only strengthen Jamaica’s national development but also enhance regional stability and benefit both countries.
“Our collaboration strengthens both our nations by disrupting criminal networks, promoting investment, and supporting regional stability.
