From May 1 through May 30, community members are encouraged to spotlight the contributions of exceptional women whose leadership and service have left a lasting impact on the county.

Established by the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners in 2021, the Women’s Hall of Fame honors trailblazers who have made significant contributions to the social, economic, cultural, or political fabric of the community. Honorees will be inducted during a County Commission meeting later this year and permanently recognized at the upcoming Women’s Hall of Fame, set to be housed at The Women’s Park.

The CFW invites individuals, civic organizations, and institutions to submit nominations, which should include biographical details and a summary of the nominee’s accomplishments.

“The Hall of Fame is a vital way to preserve the legacies of women who have paved the way and shaped the future of Miami-Dade,” the CFW said in a statement.

Created in 1971, the Commission for Women serves as an advisory board to the County Commission and advocates on issues affecting the status and well-being of women throughout Miami-Dade.

To nominate a deserving woman or request accessibility accommodations for the process, contact CFW Program Director Dr. Rose Martin at rose.martin@miamidade.gov or call 305-375-4967. Additional updates can be found by following the board on Facebook and X.

Nominations can be submitted online until May 30. Submit nominations here.
