3 dead, 2 hospitalized in Margate crash

Three people are dead and two others are hospitalized, one of which is in critical condition, following a deadly crash in Margate.

The Margate police and fire department said the crash happened in the area of Royal Palm Boulevard and Rock Island Road just before midnight.

The Margate police and fire department responded to the area of Royal Palm Boulevard and Rock Island Road at about 11:50 p.m. in reference to a traffic crash.

While authorities are still investigating what caused the crash, they said three people did not survive.

Although it’s still unclear what led up to the crash, authorities says some of the occupants of the vehicles were ejected after the cars collided.

The identities of the victims have not been released and officials are still investigating the crash.

The crash site has been cleared and the roads are reopened.
