Second Haitian Independence Celebration to take place in Lauderhill on Jan. 11

The Haitian Mobilization Committee, in partnership with the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce, will host the 2nd Haitian Independence Celebration, a cultural event honoring Haiti’s rich history and contributions.

Scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2025, the event will take place from Noon to 5:00 PM at Lauderhill City Hall.

This year’s celebration seeks to bring together individuals from all backgrounds, fostering community pride and unity through a day of cultural exchange and joy. Open to Lauderhill residents and visitors alike, the event will feature a vibrant display of Haitian music, traditional cuisine, and art, offering attendees an immersive experience of the heritage and resilience of Haiti.

Organizers emphasize that the celebration is more than an event—it is a tribute to the strength and unity of the Haitian community in South Florida. “This day is about coming together to honor our past, celebrate our present, and look toward our future,” said event organizers.
