With a stacked field of world-class athletes, including Olympic and World Championship medallists, spectators can anticipate an electrifying competition.

Leading the field is Dalilah Muhammad, a formidable force in the 400m hurdles. Muhammad, a former Olympic gold medallist from Rio in 2016, boasts an impressive resume that includes a silver medal from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Her personal best time of 51.58 seconds, achieved during the Tokyo final, places her as the third-fastest woman in history. Additionally, Muhammad clinched gold at the 2019 World Championships, setting a then-world record of 52.16 seconds.

Joining Muhammad is Rushell Clayton, a rising star in the hurdles discipline. Clayton, who secured bronze at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, has continued to impress with consistent performances. Last year, she achieved a personal best time of 52.81 seconds, solidifying her status as a formidable contender in the event.

A two-time World Championship silver medallist

Another standout athlete in the field is Shamier Little, a two-time World Championship silver medallist. Little’s remarkable achievements include silver medals from the 2015 edition in Beijing and the 2021 championships in Budapest. With a personal best time of 52.39 seconds, Little ranks among the top performers in the event’s history.

The star-studded line-up doesn’t end there, as the field features additional accomplished athletes such as Janieve Russell, a two-time Commonwealth Games champion, and Gianna Woodruff, the Pan Am Games champion. Also vying for top honors are World Championship finalists Andrenette Knight and Anna Cockrell, along with Commonwealth Games silver medallist Shiann Salmon.

With such a talented and competitive field assembled for the Jamaica Athletics Invitational, fans can expect fierce battles and record-breaking performances as these elite athletes showcase their speed, agility, and determination on the track.
