The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC®) swiftly addressed rumors circulating on social media suggesting that an examination paper had been leaked.
In a statement issued Tuesday, CXC® assured candidates this was a hoax.
Official sources for accurate information
CXC® emphasized the importance of relying on official channels for accurate news and updates.
Their website, cxc.org along with official social media pages, remain the primary sources for candidates seeking trustworthy information.
Strict guidelines and penalties
The council reiterated its stringent guidelines for examination conduct, highlighting that candidates should adhere strictly to the rules.
It also cautioned that serious penalties await those attempting to obtain exam question papers or related materials beforehand. Such actions can lead to cancellation of results, disqualification, and debarment.
Earlier in the week, CXC Registrar and CEO Dr. Wayne Wesley shared motivational words in a video statement for students preparing for the 2024 May/June CXC® examinations.
He encouraged them to remain “cool, calm, and collected,” urging them to demonstrate their confidence during the examination period.
