Highlighting urgent security concerns

In his capacity as the chairman of the Caricom Council of Ministers of National Security and Law Enforcement (CONSLE), Drew addressed the forum focused on “Special Security Concerns Of The Small Island And Low-Lying Coastal Developing States Of The Caribbean.”

He stressed that this theme is not only crucial for Caricom but also resonates with any nation prioritizing peace and security in the broader Americas.

Emphasizing collaboration and partnership

Acknowledging the complexity of the challenges at hand, Drew commended the organizers for convening the forum, recognizing the necessity of collaboration and partnership in combatting gang violence and illicit firearms access.

He emphasized the evolving nature of crime, particularly gang-related violence, urging innovative and holistic approaches to effectively address it.

Navigating global interconnectedness

Drew highlighted the unprecedented global interdependence and technological advancements shaping the contemporary geopolitical landscape.
