With the theme, ‘United for Jamaica’s Transformation: fostering peace, productivity and youth empowerment’’, preparations are well underway, as shared by Conference Chair, Courtney Campbell, President, and CEO of the VM Group.

State of readiness

According to Campbell, preparations for the conference are in full swing, with a dedicated Secretariat within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade leading the charge.

Supported by an adept Preparatory Committee, composed of members from relevant government bodies and Missions overseas, the organizing team is helmed by Conference Chair and Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Hon. Alando Terrelonge.

Logistics locked in

With a meticulous approach, Campbell emphasized the comprehensive readiness of the logistics.

The venue, Montego Bay Convention Centre, has been secured, with eager hosts primed to accommodate the conference.

Accommodation arrangements at nearby hotels and transportation logistics have also been solidified, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees.

Diaspora marketplace buzz

An anticipated highlight of the conference is the Diaspora Marketplace, serving as a platform for public and private sector entities, as well as overseas business operators, to showcase their offerings.

The 50 available spaces at the Marketplace have been swiftly filled, prompting the Secretariat to explore additional opportunities to accommodate more participants.
