Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have jointly announced a historic T20 ‘A’ Team tour, marking a significant moment in cricketing history.
This tour will see a West Indies team visit Nepal for the first time, with five T20 matches scheduled to take place at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Miles Bascombe, CWI Director of Cricket, emphasized the importance of this tour in the context of the T20 World Cup preparations, stating, “This A-team tour is another indication of the importance we are placing on A-team cricket and a significant phase in our preparations for the T20 World Cup.”
CAN Secretary, Paras Khadka, expressed his excitement about the tour, stating, “We are humbled and excited with the prospect of the West Indies ‘A’ team touring Nepal. This marks a significant moment in our cricketing history as we embrace this wonderful opportunity bestowed upon us.”

The schedule for the West Indies ‘A’ Tour to Nepal has been confirmed, with all matches set to be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal. The matches will commence at 1:00 pm local time on the following dates:
- Saturday, April 27: 1st ‘A’ Team T20
- Sunday, April 28: 2nd ‘A’ Team T20
- Wednesday, May 1: 3rd ‘A’ Team T20
- Thursday, May 2: 4th ‘A’ Team T20
- Saturday, May 4: 5th ‘A’ Team T20
