Jamaicans living in Canada now have another avenue for sending remittances to their homeland, due to a recent collaboration between VM Money Transfer Services Limited (VMTS) and Remitbee Online Money Transfer and Foreign Exchange Services.

Remitbee’s user-friendly online remittance services

Remitbee caters to both individuals and businesses in Canada looking to send money worldwide.

The platform prides itself on delivering swift transfers, competitive rates, and exclusive discounts to its customers.

Moreover, Remitbee’s offerings extend beyond mere remittances, allowing users to send mobile top-ups and perform foreign currency conversions through its user-friendly app or web platform.

This collaboration marks the fourth strategic partnership for VMTS within the North American country.

A strategic move to benefit the Jamaican community

Michael Howard, CEO of VMTS, voiced his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing its significance for the Jamaican diaspora and the broader economy.

He shared that statistics show that Canada remains one of the top three countries for remittance inflows to Jamaica, so this partnership will “allow us to provide not just an added outlet to expand our reach, but also increase convenience for our clients, which is a welcomed opportunity.”

Commitment to empowerment and support

The Remitbee team, led by CEO and Co-founder Yogi Yoganathan, demonstrated their commitment to the partnership during Yoganathan’s recent visit to Jamaica, where the agreement was formally signed on January 12, 2024.
