All transit and parking fees will remain at the same rates as prior to the November 13, 2023 pause in fares.

The free fare period was launched alongside the Better Bus Network to ease the transition to new routes for riders and operators alike.

MetroConnect will continue to provide free on-demand service.

In a statement, the department said: “DTPW would like to thank all riders who continued to use transit services throughout this period. Your participation not only helped to reduce traffic, but also provided valuable insight into how the Department can continue to improve services.”

The initiative involved a redesign of the transit system, which included the elimination of certain routes and the reworking of others.
