Antigua and Barbuda and Cuba have reaffirmed their dedication to bolstering bilateral ties.
This commitment was solidified during a pivotal meeting held between Cuba’s newly appointed Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, Sergio Manuel Matinez Gonzalez, and Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
Enhancing a 30-year friendship
The Office of the Prime Minister released an official statement, in which Ambassador Gonzalez expressed his unwavering commitment to improving the longstanding relationship that has endured for nearly three decades.
This commitment extends beyond just diplomatic exchanges, as Gonzalez also pledged to foster greater cultural connections between the two nations.
Solidarity amid challenges
Prime Minister Gaston Browne, in a show of unwavering solidarity, pledged full support for Cuba and reiterated his government’s dedication to the removal of the financial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States.
This stance underscores Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to standing by its Cuban counterparts during challenging times.
