The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) has emphasized the crucial importance of prioritizing the upskilling of local employees, including those within the burgeoning business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.
Dr. Wayne Henry, the Director General of PIOJ, has put forward this suggestion in response to ongoing discussions surrounding the potential recruitment of migrant workers to address labor shortages in certain industries.
