Sunset at the Palms launches ‘Jamaica-Rama’ seasonal celebration

Travelers looking for a laid-back yet culturally immersive getaway this summer may want to set their sights on Negril. The adults-only, all-inclusive Sunset at the Palms resort has launched “Jamaica-Rama,” a seasonal celebration that invites guests to dive into Jamaican food, music, and tradition—while taking advantage of deeply discounted rates.

Running through October 31, Jamaica-Rama includes themed nightly dinners, local entertainment, and interactive experiences aimed at showcasing the island’s vibrant culture. With rates starting at $181 USD per person, per night for a minimum three-night stay (more than 50% off standard pricing when booked directly), the offer provides both value and indulgence.

Set on 10 acres of lush gardens and just a short walk from a private beach club on Bloody Bay, Sunset at the Palms features 85 unique, treehouse-style rooms. Guests are welcomed into a tropical retreat where palm trees sway, local flora thrives, and the beach beckons with calm, turquoise waters and beachside food and drink service.

During Jamaica-Rama, the culinary spotlight includes Jamaican Night with traditional dishes like callaloo soup, a Seafood Gala, and a mid-week Beach BBQ Cook Out with jerk chicken served under palm trees timed to Negril’s iconic sunset. Guests can also join cooking and mixology classes, and indulge in treatments at the Ginger Lily Spa.

Music takes center stage, with performances by steel drum artists, mento and reggae bands, and nightly sessions with the resort’s well-loved pianist, Paul. For a quirky local twist, Tuesdays bring a visit from the resort’s goat mascot, Betty, and her kids, who join guests for lunch on the lawn.

The all-inclusive package includes non-motorized water sports, pool access, and a guided nature tour led by the resort’s gardening staff. Off-site excursions—like catamaran cruises, visits to Rick’s Café, and Half Moon Bay trips—are also available.*
