Based on reviews from travelers worldwide, these awards celebrate the world’s most sought-after destinations, recognizing the global travel community’s favorites—from destinations themselves to everything that makes them special, including restaurants, hotels, and experiences. Only 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings achieve this honor.

“We are humbled that global travelers believe so deeply in Jamaica’s iconic cuisine, romantic atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage,” said Ed Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism. “To be recognized in Tripadvisor’s prestigious Travelers’ Choice Awards not only highlights the diversity of our destination experiences but also our exceptional service, delivered by our tourism partners who are known for their warm hospitality.”

Jamaica is a leading global culinary destination, celebrated for its world-renowned restaurants, vibrant bars, and food festivals that showcase a unique fusion of African, European, Indian, and Chinese influences.

Famed for its lush natural beauty and stunning beaches, the island also provides a romantic setting for weddings, honeymoons, and proposals. Couples can enjoy unforgettable experiences such as sunset catamaran cruises, serene raft trips along the Martha Brae River, and indulgent spa treatments.

Beyond its natural charm, Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage comes to life at iconic sites like the Bob Marley Museum, The National Gallery of Jamaica, and Devon House in Kingston, along with other celebrated locations such as Frenchman’s Cove and the Blue Lagoon in Portland, Dunn’s River Falls in St. Ann, and Rick’s Café in Negril.

“Every corner of our island offers an authentic vibe—from our flavorful culinary experiences and vibrant culture to the breathtaking scenery that sets the stage for the ultimate romantic getaway. There is much to discover, and we’re honored to receive such distinguished recognition.”
