The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) is celebrating the global recognition of Grand Anse Beach, which has earned a spot as one of the Top 50 Beaches in the World, ranking at #32 on the prestigious list.
The rankings, widely considered the most authoritative of their kind, are compiled with input from over 1,000 travel professionals, including influential writers, influencers, and industry experts. Grand Anse Beach’s position highlights its international allure and solidifies its status as one of the Caribbean’s most iconic beaches.
Grand Anse, known for its stunning two-mile stretch of white sand and tranquil waters, offers more than just natural beauty. The beach is a hub of vibrant local culture, where visitors experience Grenadian life through locally-owned hotels, bustling craft markets, spice vendors, and the warmth of the community.
“We are honoured to see Grand Anse recognized among the world’s finest beaches,” said Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority.
“But with this recognition comes an even greater responsibility. People are no longer just seeking beauty, they are searching for meaning, for connection. What makes Grand Anse truly special is not just the powdery sand or calm waters, but the sense of harmony between community and nature. Our beaches are living ecosystems, and their preservation is not optional; it is essential. This is why we continue to support initiatives like the Grenada Artificial Reef Project (GAARP), which protect marine biodiversity while sustaining the very experience that makes Grenada unique. In caring for these fragile ecosystems, we are also safeguarding our future.”
Tine Holst, Co-Founder of The World’s 50 Best Beaches, added, “Grand Anse Beach is calm, scenic, and effortlessly beautiful. Its natural charm and welcoming atmosphere make it a standout in the Caribbean.”
This international accolade further elevates Grenada’s standing as a premier Caribbean destination, with Grand Anse Beach serving as a key example of the island’s distinctive appeal on the global stage.
