Courtyard by Marriott Nassau/Junkanoo Beach unveils major renovation

The Courtyard by Marriott Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach has officially completed the first phase of its extensive remodeling project, unveiling a refreshed look and upgraded amenities designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. With sweeping ocean views, two pools, on-site dining, and modern event spaces, the hotel aims to position itself as a premier destination in the heart of downtown Nassau.

“As a passionate Caribbean leader, I’m thrilled to unveil this transformation that is about more than just a refresh,” said General Manager Nigel Francis. “It’s about cultivating a vibrant hub for our community where our spirited essence can truly shine.”

Highlights of the renovation include a newly reimagined alfresco pool bar, now serving casual meals and tropical cocktails, and a revamped Bistro offering a blend of Bahamian and American favorites. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Bistro also serves freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, while the evening lounge provides a relaxed setting with cocktails and ocean breezes.

Ideally located directly across from Junkanoo Beach and just minutes from Nassau’s historic downtown, the straw market, local eateries, and the cruise port, the hotel is only 9 miles (14.5 km) from Lynden Pindling International Airport—making it a convenient base for travelers looking to explore the island.

A major feature of the renovation is the introduction of a fully modernized Event Center, which includes a spacious ballroom, meeting room, and executive boardroom. The over 6,000 square feet of event space can accommodate up to 250 guests for receptions, supported by on-site catering, dedicated event planning staff, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment. Group bookings of 10 or more rooms made before June 30, 2025, will receive special perks such as a hosted welcome reception, discounted room rental, waived food and beverage minimums, double Marriott Bonvoy Planner Points, and more.

“We envision these spaces as a place where local businesses can come together to collaborate, where families can celebrate milestones, and where Nassau’s dynamic spirit is fully embraced,” said Francis. “This project is close to my heart because it’s an investment in our island, our people, and our future. We’re not just offering a venue; we’re opening our doors to become an integral part of the local landscape.”

The hotel is also extending special year-round business rates to long-standing corporate partners and discounted resident rates to Bahamians. For leisure travelers, the “Stay for Breakfast” package adds value with a daily breakfast at the Bistro.

Guests can also take advantage of Marriott Bonvoy®, the hotel brand’s award-winning loyalty program, to earn and redeem points during their stay. With the Marriott Bonvoy app, members can enjoy personalized, contactless service.

Rates start at $159 per night. For reservations and more information, visit marriott.com/NASCY or call (242) 302-2975.
