Leading the scoring for the Heat was Jimmy Butler with 27 points, who showcased his proficiency from the free-throw line by going a perfect 12 for 12. Additionally, Bam Adeyao continued his impressive form with a double-double, contributing 20 points and 12 rebounds to the team’s effort.

Off the bench, Caleb Martin and Tyler Herro made significant impacts, both reaching the 20-point mark as well. Martin’s performance marked his first 20-point game since December, while Herro, in his second game back from injury, scored 21 points and received increased minutes.

Heat struggled with their shooting efficiency throughout the game

Despite the strong individual performances, the Heat struggled with their shooting efficiency throughout the game, particularly from beyond the arc, where they only made 29.6 per cent of their attempts. Notably, the Heat has won only four games this season when shooting below 30 per cent from three-point range.

Sunday’s loss came after a stretch of strong offensive performances for the Heat, winning four of their last five games. However, their shooting woes against the Pacers deviated from their recent success, where they shot nearly 50 per cent from the field and over 40 per cent from three.

Looking ahead, the Heat anticipates an offensive boost as Tyler Herro and Kevin Love continue to regain their rhythm following their return from injuries. Both players are expected to contribute significantly as the team faces the Atlanta Hawks next on Tuesday, a team known for allowing high-scoring games.
