Hailing from Jamaica and now making his mark on the track at the University of Arkansas, Rojé Stona’s journey to becoming a track sensation is one defined by determination, talent, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Stona’s singular focus on throwing disciplines has propelled him to the third all-time list in UA discus history, with a remarkable personal best of 68.64 meters. Despite his lanky and introverted beginnings, Stona’s athleticism shone through as he excelled in various sports, eventually finding his calling in track and field.

After training at Clemson University and securing accolades in discus, Stona transferred to the University of Arkansas, driven by the desire to elevate his performance and pursue his Olympic dreams. His dedication paid off as he made history by becoming the first Razorback to claim an SEC title in the discus, breaking meet records along the way.

Stona’s passion for engineering shines through

Stona’s competitive spirit and relentless pursuit of improvement are evident in his approach to the sport. Despite facing stiff competition, he remains focused on outperforming himself with each meet, driven by his ambition to secure a global medal and earn a coveted spot on an Olympic team.

Beyond the track, Stona’s passion for engineering shines through. With aspirations to become an engineer, he balances his athletic pursuits with a keen interest in industrial engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, and technical drawings.
