Anderson made the joyful announcement on Sunday via social media, posting a photo alongside her husband with a visible baby bump. “We said I DO…… And now we’re getting ready to say ‘hello’ to our little one. Our hearts are overflowing with so much joy and gratitude,” she wrote. “Love made us a family, and our greatest adventure is just beginning.”

The 24-year-old Olympian described the moment as part of a “season of blessings” and expressed gratitude for the life changes currently unfolding.

Her announcement comes just weeks after she revealed she had tied the knot. Now, as she prepares to become a mother, Anderson has also taken time to address speculation surrounding her athletic future.

“I have been seeing all the messages asking if I’ve retired from competing. The short and sweet answer is NO,” she said in her post. “I deeply love what I do and I will be back competing next year, but for now I’m soaking in all the blessings life have to offer.”

Anderson made history in 2022 when she set a then-national record of 12.31 seconds in the 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon—earning her a silver medal and solidifying her place among the sport’s elite. Her record was later broken by Ackera Nugent, who clocked 12.28 seconds during the 2024 Olympic trials.

Anderson competed throughout the 2024 season, including appearances at the Jamaica National Championships and other international meets up to September last year.

Known for her fierce competitiveness and mental toughness, Anderson’s planned return is already building anticipation among fans and the track and field community.
