Jamaica has unveiled its 79-member squad for the upcoming 51st Carifta Games, set to take place at the Kirani James Stadium in Grenada from March 30 to April 1.
Headlining the team are athletes like Theianna Lee Terrelonge from Edwin Allen High and former St Elizabeth Technical runner Javorne Dunkley.
The team, announced by the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA), comprises talented athletes across various age categories, including Under-17 and Under-20 divisions for both males and females. The squad is expected to be further bolstered by top performers from the ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships, scheduled for March 19-23.
With a track record of dominance at the Carifta Games, Jamaica aims to extend its streak of success and secure a 38th consecutive victory at the prestigious event. Last year, Jamaica topped the medal standings with a total of 78 medals, including 40 gold.
The team boasts promising talents like Natrece East, Theianna Lee Terrelonge, Javorne Dunkley, and many others, who will represent Jamaica with determination and skill on the international stage.
